Meet Tim Kolar
Candidate for Grosse Pointe Park City Council
I am running to be your representative on City Council to be your voice, bringing my passion for this wonderful City, and my experience and knowledge from serving as a State Office Administrator for the State of Michigan to continue our progress. I run this campaign to be one of your representatives on our City Council – with a vision for what we can do TOGETHER as a community: my fellow neighbors in Grosse Pointe Park. Like you and your family, I cherish the aspects of what we love about Grosse Pointe Park, while knowing we can strengthen them through embracing modern perspectives.
Together, we can honor and preserve all that has made, and continues to make, Grosse Pointe Park an extraordinary place to live and raise a family, while we strive to continuously improve all aspects of our community.
We can enjoy our parks while also ensuring their longevity.
We can recognize and support our public safety department; helping them be the best they can be; promoting excellence and our high standard of community service.
We can praise and recognize our generous donors and engage with them through standard processes and policies.
We can have a City Government that rises to meet more than the basic demands of our community.
In the coming days, weeks, and months I will be working hard to be meeting with as many of my fellow community members as I am able. Join me to discuss what helped me shape my vision of what good government looks like; it helps me to hear your thoughts.
Pushing for Continued Progress
- Maintaining and promoting Grosse Pointe Park as the best place to raise a family in Southeast Michigan.
- Focused approach on our infrastructure with a clear, well-prepared, and fully communicated plan to address our lead pipes and marina.
- Believing in the community of over 11,000 people (and growing) where all residents voices are represented and heard by City Council.
- Community engagement is an actionable item, not something to consider.
